Our October Camp Out will be held the weekend of October 21 – 23, which will be the Frontier Days Council Camp-O-Ree at Flaming Arrow Scout Reservation. At this event, the Scouts will have an opportunity to earn a Merit Badge as well as to participate in Scout Skills competition. More information on this Council Event may be found on the Council Website (LINK).
Please meet at Cork United Methodist Church at 6:15pm on Friday, October 21st.
Scouts should arrive in Class A uniform shirt and appropriate pants (solid colors, and not drawstring/elastic waist). Neckerchiefs, Sashes, etc. may be brought, packed with their gear/clothing, to wear at the campfire event.
Scouts should come fed, as there will be no food provided for Friday evening. The Camp-O-Ree will be providing meals on Saturday, as well as for Sunday breakfast.
The Troop will plan to arrive back at Cork UMC on Sunday at approximately 1:30pm.
Please RSVP using the TroopTrack system. If you are unable to do so, please send an email to the Scoutmaster (Scoutmaster@Troop734.info). In addition, will also have the Scouts sign-up using a signup sheet in their Patrol Meetings on Monday, September 11th.
IMPORTANT – If you or your Scout wish to participate in a Merit Badge class (those that don’t will participate in Scout Skills competitions), please also provide a 1st and 2nd choice of Merit Badge from the listing at the Council Website page linked above. If possible, include this with your RSVP via TroopTrack; or email the Scoutmaster.
Adults – if you are willing / able / interested in attending, please RSVP using the TroopTrack system (if you are unable to do so, please send an email to the Scoutmaster) so we can determine if we have enough, too little, or too much adult support and can adapt as needed.
As this is a Council campout, fees are set by, and paid entirely to, the Council. Scouts are $40.00 and Adults are $15.00.
