Mounted Shooting Club Event

IMPORTANT: Service Hours and Troop Fundraiser Opportunity

The Bay Area Bandits, a Mounted Shooting Club has contacted us about an ongoing opportunity for the Troop to provide service hours opportunity for our Scouts, fundraising for our Troop, and some fun for all of us.

If you visit their website, or search for Bay Area Bandits Mounted Shooting on YouTube, you can get a sense of what they do, and how the events run.

Our job will be to assist with inflating the balloons, which are the targets, and then placing them on the course in between riders.

We are looking to have at least 8 people (but all are welcome this first weekend – we will have six opportunities during the year, but do need to provide the minimum coverage and support to maintain our relationship with the Bay Area Bandits). Please reply to this email, or email the Scoutmaster if you do plan to attend, so we can determine if we will have sufficient interest for the minimum level support. Even if you do not email, you are welcome to come anyway.

Please arrive at Cork UMC at 8:45am on Saturday morning (January 14th) and we’ll head over to RRR Farms off of Knights Griffin Road together. You can drop off your Scouts and we’ll get them there and back (and let you know what time to pick them back up, but probably around 2:00pm); or you can come along as well and caravan with us.
