Fall Start-Up

We are getting close to the first day of school, and to the start-up of the fall Troop activities. Following is our upcoming schedule (it may be easier to click on the ‘Read More’ link to read this post): August 15 – 6:30pm – PLC Meeting August 15 – 7:30pm – “Partial Merit Badge” completions

Elections

We help Troop Leadership elections recently, and this coming Monday (May 23rd), we are intending to hold OA elections as well a Patrol Leadership elections for the Fall. Once those positions are filled, the Scoutmaster will work with the Troop and Patrol Leadership on remaining Troop Positions of Responsibility (e.g., Scribe, Historian, Webmaster, Bugler, etc.)

Monday – January 20th

We will be having BOTH an Eagle Project Workday (8:00am at Cork UMC, until after lunch) AND a Troop Meeting @ 7:30pm where the Scouts will be working on their second class related to the Cooking Merit Badge. PLC will begin at 6:30pm as well.

NO Troop Meeting – December 30th

There will be NO Troop Meeting on Monday, December 30th. Our next Troop Meeting will be Monday, January 6th at the Cork United Methodist Church, across the field from Bethany Baptist Church on Sam Allen Road. PLC will begin at 6:30pm and the Troop Meeting will begin at 7:30pm.

PLC and Troop Meeting – 11/11

Yes, the Troop is meeting on Monday, November 11th even though there is no school. PLC @ 6:30p and Troop Meeting @ 7:30p.

NO MEETING – Monday 11/04

Our OA Elections have been rescheduled to 18 November. As such, and given we just had a camp out this weekend but do not need a Yard Rule meeting to clean up from the camp out, there will be NO MEETING tomorrow. Our next Troop Meeting will be next week, 11 November at 7:30pm (PLC

PLC – Monday @ 6:30pm

The first Patrol Leaders’ Council (PLC) will be on Monday at 6:30pm at Bethany Baptist Church. The PLC will meet in the classrooms behind the church (not in the Fab where the Troop meetings are held).
