September Campout

CONFIRMED – We ARE camping this weekend.

Our September Camp Out will be held the weekend of September 16 – 18 at BSA Camp Alafia in Lithia/Fish Hawk.

Please meet at Cork United Methodist Church at 6:15pm on Friday, September 16th.

Scouts should arrive in Class A uniform shirt and appropriate pants (solid colors, and not drawstring/elastic waist). Neckerchiefs, Sashes, etc. are not needed for the camp out and should stay at home.

As far as a packing list, less is more. We’re camping two nights, so the basics are:
– Tent
– Sleeping Bag (or equivalent)
– Mess Kit
– Water Bottle
– Personal Hygiene items
– Change of clothes (specifically including socks and underwear)
May also want to consider, sunscreen, bug spray, poncho/rain gear, hat and so on.

Scouts should come fed, as there will be no food provided for Friday evening. The Scouts will prepare meals for Saturday (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) and Sunday (Breakfast and Lunch).

We plan to arrive back at Cork UMC on Sunday at approximately 1:30pm. If we will be more than 15 minutes early, or late, we will contact parents to inform them of the time change. If you don’t hear from us, we believe that we are on time for arrival no later than 1:45pm.

Please RSVP using the TroopTrack system. If you are unable to do so, please send an email to the Scoutmaster (Scoutmaster@Troop734.info). In addition, will also have the Scouts sign-up using a signup sheet in their Patrol Meetings on Monday, September 11th.

Adults – if you are willing / able / interested in attending, please RSVP using the TroopTrack system (if you are unable to do so, please send an email to the Scoutmaster) so we can determine if we have enough, too little, or too much adult support and can adapt as needed.

As this is a Troop campout, this will be the usual $15.00 cost to cover food and location costs.
