AquAcademy Camp Out This Weekend (Oct. 2 – 4)

We have 15 Scouts and 4 Adults registered for this weekend, and registration closed about a month ago, so we won’t be able to take any last minute additions unfortunately (because this is a Council event, not our own Troop event).

Scouts that are registered: AA, CB, JB, LK, SM, WM, CN, AO, BP, RP, DS, CW, DW, BW, CY.

Adults that are registered: Mr. Alderman, Mr. Bazley, Mr. McCranie, Mr. Paquet.

NOTE: For those in Snorkeling, you will need to bring your own snorkeling equipment, including mask, fins, and snorkel. It appears necessary equipment will be provided for all other merit badge classes.

We will be meeting at the church at 6:30pm on Friday, October 2nd. We will return to the church on Sunday, October 4th around 3:00pm. The Scoutmaster will send out a message as we leave Camp providing an updated ETA.

Meals will be provided by the Camp.

Tents will be provided by the Camp (2 Scouts per Tent), but they will not have “furnishings” and are located on cement slabs. Thus, you will want to bring some form of a ground pad (air mattress, egg crate pad, foam pad, your own cot, etc.), and bedding as well as clothes; but you should not need tents, food, etc.

If you wish to bring your own tent, you may do so.

No campsite fires will be allowed.

Bring bug spray/repellent for nights and bring sunscreen for days.

Bring a water bottle. No cups will be at stations.

If you have any questions, please call the Scoutmaster by Thursday night.
